It is about having a conversation with a place. Exploring through experimentation. One thought, one process, one experience. I loved the Arts & Crafts movement and had this idea to make all the objects of a home. I haven't achieved this yet, but I am close. Granite Bar is where I live; a name for an area no longer used, but at one time assigned, as it described the terrain. Here, I discovered clay deposited in great piles at the front doors of wombat homes: both red and white. My firewood is deposited by the wind pruning the messmates and peppermints that surround me. I use the ash from the fire and also experiment with other plants in abundance, swordgrass and dianella so far. It is about time and learning and playing.
This is the beginning.
